WordPress offers the ability to setup multiple users within one web site. This means you can have a profile for your admin access and assign profile accounts to any additional authors, admins or contributors that you might want to add to the site. Along with setting up account access for each of these individuals, you can also provide them with detailed profiles that include their name, email, display name, web site and bio.
In this tutorial we are going to show you how to login and make changes to these profile accounts.
How to Edit Your Profile in WordPress
To make any modifications to your WordPress platform, you will first need to login to the dashboard area.
Once logged in, you can click on the “Users” tab in the left side menu.
Then click on the “Profile” tab.
Once on the “Profile” page, you can then start editing any of the fields in the top section that are focused on the user contact information and how their data might be seen when pushing to your site.
After scrolling down, you can then edit any details on the direct email contact and site ownership that might be associated with this user profile. If your site displays an author section at the bottom of each post, you can also provide the full biographical info to be displayed as well.
Once completed, click on the “Update Profile” button to publish these final changes to your site.
